Silver medal for Larisa Iordache on floor

The Nanning Artistic Gymnastics World Championships ended today with the second day of event finals. Romania was represented by Larisa Iordache in the beam and floor finals, with a very good chance of medaling in both of them. After she had managed to put together three consistent beam routines in the previous days of competition, the full twisting somersault let her down today and pushed her back into the final rankings to 5th place. This didn’t affect her floor performance though and Larisa managed to improve on her last year’s standing, taking home yet another silver medal. The All-Around champion, Simone Biles, won both the beam and the floor finals. Romania wraps up this World Championship with two silver medals, both from Larisa Iordache.
