2013 Worlds: Bronze medal on floor for Larisa Iordache

Romania ended its efforts at this World Championship bringing home a bronze medal on floor. This is an improvement from the last Worlds where no medal was won but going through today´s routines is probably going to be painful for Romanian fans. Tonight, favorite Romanian events caused problems for the three gymnasts who had all set out to do the best routines they possibly could. Larisa missed on beam (she probably could not gain her confidence back after friday´s disappointment), Sandra missed on floor (a painful deja-vu of the London floor final) and Marius on parallel bars. The only happy moment of the night came at the end of the meet when Larisa did what she knows best on floor to secure her first World medal, a bronze, on the event behind Biles and Ferrari. Nothing can be done at this point to change the disappointment and sadness of the Romanian camp, except encourage them to learn from what happened and start over as 2014 offers very challenging competitions, an opportunity for the Romanian team to get its revenge.
